Our web designer told us to keep everything minimal. So, naturally, this is where we’ve decided to put absolutely everything about us. The stories, the people, the weddings, the cameras, the years, the little details, and probably more information than you ever needed. Consider this our one designated corner of the internet where minimalism takes a well-deserved break.

Let me introduce you to us
and our many, many opinions

Thirteen years ago, we were just two people in love.
Three years of dating turned into ten years of marriage, and somewhere along the way, we became parents to our son. Watching him flip through our wedding albums, point at familiar faces, and ask endless questions about who we were before he existed has completely changed the way we look at wedding photographs. Proof that printing photos is still worth it.
What once felt like memories for us now feels like a gift for him.
It's a reminder that a wedding isn't just about the couple standing at the altar. It's about the stories that will be told around dining tables years later. The photographs your children will laugh at, your parents will treasure, and your grandchildren may one day discover. Maybe that's why we've never seen wedding photography as simply taking beautiful pictures.
For over 16 years, Siddhu has photographed weddings across India and around the world, documenting more than 1,000 celebrations. In 2017, we started Vows by Siddhu Soma, and together we've personally captured over 450 weddings under our own brand. Yet after all these years, it's never been about the number of weddings we've photographed.
It's about preserving how it felt.
The nervous excitement before seeing each other. The tears your parents try to hide. The uncontrollable laughter with your closest friends. The tiny, unscripted moments that become the stories you'll tell for the rest of your life.
Because one day, your wedding photographs won't just be memories.
They'll be family history.
And being trusted with that responsibility is something we'll never take for granted.
Love,
Siddhu & Bhargavi
Founder, Mentor & Selective Extrovert
What started as a college hobby quickly became an obsession.
By the age of 18, I was already photographing events, completely fascinated by the idea that a single frame could preserve a feeling forever. That curiosity eventually led me to pursue a Master's in Visual Communication and, years later, build Vows by Siddhu Soma.
Since then, I've photographed more than 1,000 weddings across India and around the world. I've witnessed grand celebrations, intimate ceremonies, emotional speeches, unexpected rain, dramatic dance floors, and enough wedding planning stories to fill several lifetimes.
These days, I spend as much time mentoring photographers as I do photographing weddings. Building Vows was one dream. Building the next generation of wedding artists might be an even bigger one.
Outside of weddings...
I still get excited every time I pick up a camera.
I still plan trips around good food.
I still disappear on long cycling rides whenever wedding season gives me permission.
And I still believe Hyderabad haleem deserves international recognition.
Over the years, I've learned that photographs age differently than we do.
What feels ordinary today often becomes priceless tomorrow.
Maybe that's why I still love what I do.
Every wedding gives me another story to tell. Every photographer I mentor helps tell the stories after me.
#VowsFact03: Siddhu took up photography in college to impress his crush. The crush didn’t work out. The photography career did.
Managing Director, Kathak Dancer & Gossip lover
Every good story needs a narrator. Every wedding company needs someone to stop the narrator from forgetting deadlines.
That's usually where I come in.
While Siddhu is busy chasing beautiful moments, I'm often the person making sure everyone is where they're supposed to be, wearing what they're supposed to wear, and remembering what they're supposed to remember. From timelines and outfit discussions to managing logistics and calming pre-wedding nerves, I work closely with both our couples and our creative team throughout the entire experience.
I actually come from an architecture background. But somewhere along the way, I realized I was far more interested in people than buildings.
I loved stories more than structures. Emotions more than elevations. And celebrations more than construction sites. Weddings turned out to be the perfect place where all those worlds could meet.
One thing nobody tells you about working in weddings is how attached you get to people. You start with a consultation call, exchange a few messages, discuss outfits, timelines, family dynamics, and before you know it, you're celebrating one of the biggest days of their lives together.
Years later, we'll still receive anniversary photos, baby announcements, and random "just wanted to say hi" messages. Those are some of my favourite parts of the job.
Outside weddings, you'll usually find me working out, exploring styling, practicing Kathak, or convincing Siddhu that timelines actually matter.

You become her favourite client. At least until someone sends a bigger box.
What’s the fastest way to win Bhargavi over?

Frequently asked Questions Bhargavi

What does Siddhu do when he’s not shooting weddings?
He’s either off on a holiday, lost at his desk for 18 hours trying to perfect that one photograph, battling it out on the PlayStation with our son Arin, or simply lying around looking for interesting shapes and stories in the clouds.
What’s Siddhu’s favourite part of a wedding day?
The in-between moments. The nervous laughs before the ceremony, the tiny glances nobody notices, parents trying not to get emotional, and that one friend who has clearly taken their dance performance way too seriously.
Has he ever cried at a Wedding?
Officially, no. But the footage says otherwise. and we got 43 proofs for it.
If Siddhu weren’t a photographer, what would he be doing?
Honestly? Probably still finding an excuse to tell stories. Maybe through films, , or something that gives him an excuse to observe people being wonderfully human.
Did Sidhu take a formal photography course?
Intermediate from Google.
Graduation from YouTube.
Master’s in Photography from ChatGPT University.
Lol , No fancy degree just curiosity, practice, and a slightly unhealthy amount of screen time.
Behind every wedding film is a team of photographers, filmmakers, editors, creatives, problem-solvers, timeline-fixers, charger-carriers, and at least one person asking, "Has anyone seen the gimbal?"
What started as a small team has grown into a family of 50+ talented individuals spread across the world, all working towards the same goal: telling stories that feel as meaningful fifty years from now as they do today.
Together, we create cinematic wedding films and editorial photography that go beyond poses and Pinterest boards. We chase the laughs, the tears, the stolen glances, the dance floor chaos, and the tiny moments nobody realizes are important until years later.
Because long after the flowers are gone and the outfits are packed away, those moments are what remain.
Vows Fact #39
The average Vows editor spends more time with your wedding footage than some people spend with their families.

Things We Didn't Put On The Homepage
- We once shot an entire ceremony with the lens cap on. (Just kidding. Almost.)
- Someone has called the groom by the wrong name. More than once.

BTS VIDEOS
We spend most weekends at weddings and most weekdays talking about weddings.
Surprisingly, we're still not tired of them.

That's probably enough about us.
This page is already significantly longer than our web designer wanted.
If you've made it to the end, you officially know more about us than most our relatives.
Now let's talk about your story.
